Partnerships are a crucial part of Tide’s go-to-market strategy - we aspire to a partnerships program that is unparalleled in the business banking space. This means establishing a large network of relationships that open up go-to-market opportunities, strengthen our value proposition, and enhance the offerings of our partners. 

Our partners are both small and large. We approach the small ones through a mixture of sales and marketing channels. And we cultivate the larger ones through longer-term bus dev efforts.

Our model for partnerships clearly works for key segments and we’re now looking to double down. As such, we’re looking for a General Manager to take our partnerships efforts to the next level. 

Our ideal candidate brings a unique mix of sales, marketing, operations, and product skills. They have experience managing and growing high-performing teams. And they are passionate about Tide’s mission to empower business owners to get on with doing what they love.


About Tide

Our members have a fully-functioning account in 5 minutes. It gives them an integrated set of all the financial services they need to run their business in a mobile and desktop environment. 

Tide launched in January 2017 and in July, announced $14m funding from leading venture capital firms (Anthemis, Creandum, LocalGlobe and Passion) and industry insiders. We have grown extremely fast since launch and have ambitions to sign 50m businesses up, over the coming years, across the world. More significantly, we have the privilege of progressing a mission which is genuinely important for the world.

Responsibilities

Your job will be to build and run our rapidly growing partnerships program. The role reports into our CMO, a Google alum with deep executive experience in high-growth startups.

The Partnerships team itself runs sales / bus dev, account management and some operations - all for partner companies. It also drives the agenda for product and marketing for partner segments in collaboration with our Product and Marketing teams.

This year, we plan to grow our UK Partnerships channel very aggressively and lay the ground for future outreach across a host of European countries.

You will:

  • Understand and refine Tide’s partner value propositions across different channels, prioritising your team’s time to focus on those that will have the greatest impact. 
  • Manage and grow a high-performing partnerships team, a cross-functional group that is essentially a ‘startup within a startup’. You'll come to us with experience running teams of 10+ people in the past.
  • Develop processes that empower your team to exponentially grow Tide’s partner coverage across the SMB space.
  • Work with leaders in the SMB space to develop marquee partnerships that yield significant growth, brand value for Tide
  • Be a voice for Tide in the SMB ecosystem, speaking at conferences and events as a thought leader in the space.
  • Build systems that help Tide to maximise its ‘yield’ of referral business and custom from our partners.
  • Work with Marketing to develop brand experiences that brings the Tide Partner Program to life.
  • Collaborate internally and externally to build tools and integrations that enhance Tide’s value proposition to end customers and partners.
  • Establish operational systems that allow the partnerships team to scale efficiently.
  • Work closely with Tide’s executive team to plan growth and contribute to overall company strategy.
